On Monday September 17th, 2018 Michael Olander Estell peacefully went home to heaven with his family by his side.

“Big Mike” as he was affectionately known, was born to Amos and Marguerite Estell (both of whom preceded him in death.) Michael was one of four children to Amos and Marguerite, his brother Valray “Joe” (Preceded him in death), Crystal (Preceded him in death) and Paula.

Michael Joined the United States Army and served his county during the Vietnam war earning the rank of Private First Class before his tenure in the Army Honorably came to an end.

In January 1986 Michael married Carla Ann Estell and over the next 32 years they lovingly raised 3 Children; Christopher, Michael and Andrew. During their marriage Michael and Carla faced any adversity with unity and their true love for one another always prevailed. Michael’s love for his family, integrity, sacrifices and undeniable work ethic made him one of the most honorable men to encounter.

In his later years Michael accepted Jesus Christ as his lord and savior. Michael’s legacy is survived through his wife Carla, his sister Paula. His children Christopher, Michael, Andrew, Vincent and Patricia. Michael has 5 grandchildren who affectionately called him “Paw” Alexander (Christopher) Mia & Emma (Michael) Caroline & a baby sister on the way (Andrew). Michael’s in-laws include Arlene “Precious”& Rayford Corporal (Both Preceded him in death), Edward, Natalie, Tatiana , EJ, Gwen, Jim, Caroline, Charlotte and Cindy. Michael had a wealth of nieces and nephews, Nathan, John, Matthew, Mark, Michael, Samuel (Paula) Elisa, Vanessa, Shantasha (Charlotte), Petra & William (Cindy)

Michael the love and commitment you provided to your family and your country enshrines your legacy as one of the most honorable men to walk the earth. May your rest be peaceful as you walk with your savior eternally. We miss you and we will always love you.
