Obituary

Stella Johana Lovitch, 98, passed away Sunday, December 23, at The Bluffs in Columbia, MO  Visitation and rosary will be Saturday, December 29, at 10:00 am to 11:00 am  with rosary at 11:00 am. Burial following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 38th and State, KCK.

Stella was a lifelong resident of KCK and a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Kansas City, KS and attended Wyandotte High School.  She worked 25 years in retail sales. Stella enjoyed sewing, crafts, and shopping in assorted grocery stores.  Her husband, Frank Lovitch, Sr. preceded her in death in 1999.

Stella leaves her children, Frank (Barbara) Lovitch, Jr., of Basehor, KS, Fran (Michael) Wells of Columbia, MO, and Joan (Cris) Payne, of Land O’ Lakes, FL. Grandchildren, Leslie (Kevin) Hellman, of Lawrence, KS, Aaron Lovitch, of Basehor, , KS, Courtney (Greg) Hammermeister of Hewitt, TX, David (April) Wells of San Clemente, CA.  Great grandchildren, Rylan, Caden, Kenna, Erin, and Landon Hellman, of Lawrence, KS, Weston and Wells Hammermeister of Hewitt, TX, and Clayton Wells of San Clemente, CA.  Brother Stanley (Jackie) Nasalik of Kansas City, KS, and sister Joan Tweedie of Temecula, CA. 

The family suggests memorials to the Congregation of St. Joseph’s Retired Sisters fund, 3700 East Lincoln, Wichita, KS, 67218-2099.
