Beverly Jean Hashman Simpson devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to many, passed away Monday October 19.
Beverly was 82 years young when she passed after a 3-year convalescence at the Piper Assisted Living facility.
She was a graduate of Wyandotte High School and retired from Southwestern Bell after 20 years of service. Beverly loved her children like a mama bear. She loved all animals and especially enjoyed feeding songbirds, wild turkey, deer and her most favorite, the hummingbirds. Bev, as friends and family referred to her, loved to cook and was known for her fabulous homemade chocolate cake. She was the most welcoming hostess and made everyone she met feel at home in her presence. Her beautiful smile and easy laughter will be forever missed by all that knew her. She is home now, in heaven where she belongs. And we are so grateful God mothered us with her.
Bev is survived by a sister, Marna Imhoff, 6 Children, 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fern and Martin Godley, brother Ronald Godley and granddaughter Sally Cumley.
