Chris Garcia, of Kansas City, KS, died Sunday, February 27th, 2022. He died of both Covid-19 complications and respiratory failure. He was 71 years old.
Chris was born in 1950, in Kansas City, Kansas. He attended Turner schools and Washington High School. He had 42 years of railroad service with the majority of those years working for Union Pacific Railroad. Chris enjoyed lifting weights, playing pool, planting a garden, and softball in his younger adult years.
Chris was married to our mother, Lana Kay, for 36 years until her passing in September of 2004.
He is survived by both his son, Chris Garcia, and daughter, Misty Sigler. He had five grandchildren: Erron, C.J. Noelle, Brielle and Landon. He had one great-grandson, Akello. One brother, Anthony Garcia.
Preceding him in death were his father, Antonio Garcia, and his mother, Mary Lou Garcia. One brother, Mark Garcia.
At this time the family has decided there will be no services per our father’s request. At a later date we will set forth a date and time for a Celebration of Life…”A Toast To Chris” for any and all whom would like to join us.
