Robert E. Ziman
Born of immigrants from Eastern Europe, the youngest of seven, we mourn the passing of our Uncle Bob, age 85 from Covid. He was no ordinary guy. Bob acquired polio as a toddler but never let it slow him down. He received an associate degree from Donnelly College and worked for US Supply until retiring. A good photographer, we enjoyed the slide shows of his travels in his 1960 Chevy Impala convertible. He loved sports, especially the KC Royals. Eventually confined to a wheelchair, he remained independent until recently. We loved visiting Uncle Bob. He was always upbeat, funny, a good listener and storyteller. We feel fortunate to have had such a role model.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen Gunja and John Ziman, sisters Margarette, Bernice and Mary Ann, brothers Edward, Richard and Leonard. He is survived by many neices, nephews, and life-long friends. We want to thank the staff at Brookdale in Shawnee for their excellent care.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 126th & Parallel Ave., Kansas City, Kansas,
