Walter (Wally) F. Adams III, age 69, passed away peacefully at home October 31, 2020 after a year long battle with cancer. He was a happily retired third generation Railroad employee. After retirement his dream was to spend the month of March in Arizona during spring training for the Royals. He got to do this for 5 years in a row and finally got to see them win the World Series again.
He was passionate about Nebraska football, history and politics, which often led to some spirited debates. Anyone who met or knew Wally knows what a giving, thoughtful and sometimes opinionated person he was, but was always willing to listen to others. He also had a great sense of humor which kept us laughing even up to the end.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years Denise Adams, stepson Dustin (Raquel) Sullivan, stepdaughter Amy (Phil) Dechant, Sister Laura (Fred) DeGeorge brother Hadley (Michelle) Adams, 5 grandchildren, many many close relatives and friends. Preceded in death by parents and sister Linda Nuckols.
